Our Pastor & Teacher

Our Pastor's life is a good example of God calling one out of the wilderness. Born March of 1958 in Lamoni, Iowa, he was one of four boys. He was brought up in the beliefs and traditions of the "Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints", where his father was minister. When the church no longer sufficiently answered his questions about truth, faith, and reality, he sought answers from the world. Then in 1987 he was effectually called to faith in Jesus Christ. A different Jesus than he was taught about in his family and church. This Jesus provided, truth about Salvation from Sin, faith to believe, and a reality the world could not offer. He then spent several years visiting various Charismatic Churches and finally joined the Trinity Baptist Church where he was baptized. Eventually, he started attending Grace Presbyterian Church PCA ( Presbyterian Church of America). There he met Rev. Dr. D Randall Talbot who was an ordained Minister of the RPCGA. He found Rev. Talbot to be a unique and challenging teacher. In July of 1990 Rev. Talbot was commissioned by the Westminster Presbytery, part of the Reformed Presbyterian Church General Assembly (RPCGA), to start a mission work in Ocala, Florida called Covenant Presbyterian Church. He followed Rev. Talbot to Ocala and was one of the founding members of that Church. In July 1991 he was called to be a ruling elder at that same church. In May of 1995 he receive a Bachelor of Divinity from Whitefield Theological Seminary and in the same month was Ordained as a Gospel Minister of the RPCGA and called to be Associate Pastor under Rev. Talbot. In November 1996 he received his Masters of Sacred Theology from Whitefield Theological Seminary. In April of 1997 he was called to start a mission work called Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ocala, which in December of the same year became a full status Church. Currently he is the moderator for the RPCGA and our Pastor & Teacher.
